TOM FLOWERS CRICKET COACHING
Tom Flowers Cricket Coaching was set up in 2015 with the aim of bringing high quality cricket coaching to Leicestershire, Rutland and the East Midlands.
Since then, founder of TFCC Tom Flowers, has assembled a highly qualified team that deliver at over 30 different clubs and schools across the region, all with a passion for one thing – improving local cricket.
Tom was at Leicestershire CCC until he was 21 as a top order batter, on the fringe of the first team, whilst studying his BSc Degree at Loughborough University. He also played first class cricket for Loughborough MCCU before making the career change to full time coaching at 22 and becoming head of cricket at Clayesmore School for two years, before moving onto Sherborne School for three, where he also played minor counties for Dorset CCC. Upon leaving his school coaching role in 2015, ‘TFCC’ had been created. The first three years saw over 1000 cricketers gain valuable cricketing experience and knowledge they previously did not have access too. Fast forward to 2020, and Tom is currently studying his Level 4 Mastercoach qualification with the likes of Marcus Trescothick, James Treadwell and Phil Simmons, and combines his TFCC role with working for the ECB, coaching England on the Disability coaching programme. Tom though wants to stick to his roots and core values, aiming to keep developing TFCC to assist as many local cricketers as possible. This will enable them to have the opportunities many have not had in the past; opportunities to access high quality coaching at local and accessible venues. TFCC are now set to embark on 2020, where they want to spread their message and ethos further, having formed as part of the TFCC Group Ltd brand, where they will share this expertise across the county, England and the wider UK, as his team set out on an exciting new chapter of TFCC’s story so far. |
